A Streetcar Named Desire is the latest production as part of the National Theatre at Home series, giving audiences around the world the chance to relive this unmissable play. This week, you can watch the Tennessee Williams masterpiece for free, starring The X Files’ and All About Eve‘s Gillian Anderson as Blanche DuBois, The Crown‘s Vanessa Kirby as Stella Kowalski and Ben Foster as Stanley Kowalski.

We can’t wait to see Carrie Underwood as Maria von Trapp in The Sound of Music Live! this weekend. The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical is the latest production to be streamed online as part of The Show Must Go On series. With a star cast including Tony Award-winning actors Christian Borle and Audra McDonald, we’re in for a treat.
What we’re watching on television
This weekend, we’ll be sitting down to watch The Addams Family on television, airing on Channel 5 this Saturday 23rd May at 1:50pm. Recently adapted for stage, the 1991 film follows a tight-knit family as they reconnect with a supposed long-lost relative. There’s great performances from a star-cast including Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd and Christina Ricci.
