What to watch from the West End this week

Peter Pan, starring Christopher Walken, Allison Williams and Kelli O’Hara

Take a trip to Neverland this weekend in the latest show release from ‘The Show Must Go On’ YouTube streaming series. For 48 hours only from 7pm on Friday 19th June, tune it to watch Peter Pan, filmed live in 2014, starring Christopher Walken as Captain Hook, Allison Williams as Peter Pan and Kelli O’Hara as Mrs. Darling.

What we’re streaming online

Following a sold-out ★★★★★ run at the National Theatre last year, NT at home are bringing this smash-hit play to the screens this Thursday night at 19:00 on YouTube. Small Island embarks on a journey from Jamaica to Britain, through the Second World War to 1948 – the year the HMT Empire Windrush docked at Tilbury. The play follows three intricately connected stories: Hortense yearns for a new life away from rural Jamaica, Gilbert dreams of becoming a lawyer, and Queenie longs to escape her Lincolnshire roots. Hope and humanity meet stubborn reality as the play traces the tangled history between Jamaica and the UK.

What we’re watching this weekend

Whilst their concert won’t be going ahead this summer, West End Live is bringing the thrill and excitement of their annual stagey-weekend to our homes. This weekend (20-21 June), the hit festival will release two specially commissioned highlight shows with performances from the festival’s last five years. Each show will be available to watch on their Facebook Live page for 24 hours only. Plus check out their social channels this week as they bring us some exciting announcements in the lead up to this weekend’s highlights.
