Puccini’s Tosca and La boheme have been staged at iconic opera houses around the world, but they’ve never come together like this! Fusing the dramatic operas into one show, the future of opera comes to London at Opera Undone as passionate, fiery arias are performed in a musical evening suitable for newcomers and die-hard opera fans. Opera Undone is at Trafalgar Studio Two from 6th February 2020.
All the world’s a stage for David Mitchell, as he makes his West End debut playing William Shakespeare in the stage adaptation of Upstart Crow. Based on the BBC television series initially commissioned to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s passing, Mitchell will play a dejected Shakespeare whose looking for inspiration for a brand new play to impress the masses. Will he be able to create a timeless classic and retain his status as a world-leading playwright? Upstart Crow is at the Gielgud Theatre from 7th February 2020.
Be More Chill
No stranger to being the West End home of Broadway productions, The Other Palace continues its trend with Be More Chill, a quirky, coming-of-age comedy where being an individual really is the best way to be yourself! As a middle-schooler finds fitting in difficult and looking for any means to be popular, he’s introduced to ‘The Squip’, a supercomputer that could radically change his life. Although he’ll have plenty of friends, will he be staying true to himself? One of Broadway’s newest cult phenomenons and an internet sensation, get ready t o see this celebratory musical in 2020!
