Join Henry VIII and his court at a royal banquet you’ll never forget! Located at the historic St Katherine Docks by the River Thames, a stone’s-throw away from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, a four course feast will be served, freshly prepared by the Head Chef, all accompanied by ale and wine served by dancing wenches. You’ll be entertained throughout by troubadours, minstrels, contortionists and jugglers and serenaded by musicians playing the music from the 12th century through to the 16th century, celebrating Medieval English and European musical styles. The music is both emotive and engaging, and will lure you out of your seat to the dance floor after your meal. To appease the modern diners, club music is played after the meal.
A celebration of 1000 years of history, and particularly the Knights of Portsoken, a group of 13 knights in the retinue of King Edgar the Peaceful. The land on which the Medieval Banquet takes place was a gift to them from the King, in recognition of their service to the country. At every Banquet, our knights assemble for an elaborate display of sword fighting in honour of the venues legacy.
A royal feast and theatricality come together for an evening of merriment unrivalled in London.
