WHAT’S THE STORY?

Set in 1740s Vienna, follow a woman wiser than her years who becomes involved in the dramas of her younger lover. Forced to accept the laws of time, she gives him up to a pretty young heiress, in a show combining human dramas, comedy and nostalgic fantasy.

The running time is 4 hours and 16 minutes, with two intervals of 34 and 31 minutes respectively.

Sung in German with Met Titles in English, German and Spanish.
