WHAT’S THE STORY?

One of William Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, King Lear tells of a ruling monarch who is coming to the end of their reign. When sharing the power between their children, it’s clear that the monarch’s plans are ushered aside for the greed, desire and lust of younger relatives. Descending into madness, King Lear explores the fatal consequences of a foolish decision and continues to resonate over 400 years since it was written.
