With crisp white smarts and neat black ties, the uniforms of Elders in The Book of Mormon has become a distinguishable Broadway image. Playing at the Eugene O’ Neill Theatre since 2011, the multi-award-winning production continues to say “Hello!” to theatregoers at every performance, as the musical follows two Elders on their missions, helping others and themselves along the way. Written by the creators behind South Park, it’s a musical that continues to push the boundaries, with plenty of charm and character to shock and entertain anyone.
The cast includes Dave Thomas Brown (as Elder Price), Cody Jamison Strand (as Elder Cunningham), Kim Exum (as Nabulungi), Stephen Ashfield (as Elder McKinley), and Sterling Jarvis (as Mafala Hatimbi)

When two young missionaries are paired together to serve their missions, they don’t expect to be sent to Uganda! With strong faith and a stronger mind, Elder Price sets off confident that he will convert the locals to the word of the Latter Day Saints. However, being paired with the socially awkward Elder Cunningham as well as a society plagued by AIDS, poverty and violence, a successful mission may not be as easy as they expected. As they share the religious texts with their new neighbours, will the Elders complete their mission successfully?
The recommended age for children is 16 and up, and children under the age of 4 will not be permitted into the theatre. The running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including an interval.
