Snow White has skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony. She lives a happy life until the tragic death of her mother. Soon afterwards, Snow White’s father, the king, remarries a woman named Lady Tremaine who is a vain and selfish person – known to many fairy-tale lovers as the Wicked Stepmother.
Lady Tremaine possesses a magic mirror that she asks every morning, “Who is the fairest in the land?” The mirror always replies: “My queen, you are the fairest in the land.” However, one day the mirror’s reply is different…
“Snow White is the fairest in the land.”
The envious stepmother turns against Snow White and orders a huntsman to take her into the woods to be killed. Finding himself unable to kill her, the huntsman lets her go. After wandering through the forest, Snow White discovers a cottage belonging to a group of seven dwarfs. They finally agree to take her in, on one condition – she helps with the housework!
Will Snow White live happily ever after, or does the Wicked Stepmother seek vengeance once again?
This classic tale is a well-loved favourite and a perfect festive treat for all the family.
