The King of Rock ’n’ Roll has returned to The O2 for a ground-breaking new exhibition. Following the success of the 2014/2015 Elvis at The O2 exhibition, which over 200,000 people flocked to, Elvis On Tour will bring you as close as possible to the experience of seeing the King live.
Elvis Presley has sold more than one billion records worldwide, making him the most successful musician in history, and this three month retrospective is as unique as Elvis himself. It will chronicle how the star impacted popular culture across the globe through his music, movies and style. Expect an in-depth look at the world that was Elvis on tour, providing insight into exactly what drove his audiences wild.
The exhibition will features more than 200 items from Elvis’ touring years that have never before been displayed outside of Graceland. Artefacts include 35 jumpsuits worn by Elvis between 1969 and 1977, the Gretzch Country Gentlemen Guitar used by Elvis on stage in Las Vegas in 1969, a tour trunk filled with silk scarves that the King gave out to audiences in 1969/1970, original acetate of ‘An American Trilogy’, concert posters, costume sketches, microphones, memorabilia and advertisements. Elvis On Tour will also feature never before heard or seen interviews with Elvis’ touring band TCB (Taking Care Of Business).
