Atomospheric sets and lavish Renaissance costumes will transport you to a Venetian world of political intrigue and double dealing , where a father is forced to choose between family loyalties and his political duty. This gives a rare chance to experience Placido Domingo in the role of Doge Francesco Foscari, to which brings a Shakespearian granduer, particularly in the Doge's death scene. It all combines to make for a truly potent musical and dramatic night at the Opera.
