Last staged in the West End in 1988, enjoy an evening of sophisticated, sultry music at Blues in the Night at the Kiln Theatre. As three women share their encounters with one man, listen to their stories unfold through songs by American jazz pioneers, including Duke Ellington and Bessie Smith.

WHO’S IN IT?: BLUES IN THE NIGHT CAST

Olivier Award-winning Sharon D. Clarke will star as The Lady in Blues in the Night, recently starring in the Young Vic production of Death of a Salesman. Her previous credits include Caroline, or Change, We Will Rock You and Chicago.

Clive Rowe will play The Man, with previous West End credits including Guys and Dolls and The Light Princess.

The cast is completed by Debbie Kurup, Aston New, Joseph Poulton and Gemma Sutton.

What's the story?

In this sung-through show, listen to the stories of three women as they share their relationships with one man. Enjoy a scorching compilation of simmering hot jazz showcasing twentieth-century blues music and torch songs in a musical night to remember.
