Mean Girls, but darker - Based on the cult classic 1988 film, Heathers the Musical is an American black comedy about four teenage girls, Veronica Sawyer, Heather Chandler, Heather Duke, and Heather McNamara, who are the most ‘popular’ girls in school.
The Heathers are hated and feared, and soon Veronica turns against them, encouraged by rebellious new student Jason ‘J.D.’ Dean. What follows is a bloody tale of bullying, teen suicide and murder.

Carrie Hope Fletcher continues in the role of Veronica. Fletcher won the WhatsOnStage Award for ‘Best Actress in a Musical’ for her stint as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family (UK Tour). Her other stage credits include Éponine in Les Miserables (Queen’s Theatre), Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK Tour), Brenda in The Christmasaurus Live (Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith) and Jane Banks in Mary Poppins (Prince Edward Theatre). She has also just released her debut album, ‘When the Curtain Falls’, and has had a number of best-selling books and boasts over 640,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
Joining her are Jodie Steele (Chandler), Sophie Isaacs (McNamara) and T’Shan Williams (Duke) as The Heathers, with Jamie Muscato playing the mysterious teen rebel Jason Dean (JD), Chris Chung (Kurt Kelly), Dominic Anderson (Ram Sweeney), Jenny O’Leary (Martha Dunnstock) and Rebecca Lock (Mrs Flemming).

Veronica Sawyer is one of the most popular girls at Westerburg High School in Sherwood, Ohio. A recent member of a clique that consists of three wealthy and beautiful girls with the same first name: Heather. The Heathers are feared and hated and Veronica soon has enough, wishing to return to her old life and “nerdy” friends.
When rebellious outsider Jason ‘J.D.’ Dean pulls a gun on some jocks who were trying to bully him, and fires blanks at them, Veronica finds herself obsessed with the new student. Following an altercation at a frat party, Heather Chandler vows to destroy Veronica’s reputation. Upon hearing of Heather’s threat, ‘J.D.’ tricks her into drinking drain cleaner, then encourages Veronica to forge a dramatic suicide note in Heather’s handwriting.
