About Judy!

Having played a critically-acclaimed run at the Southwark Playhouse in 2015 under the title Through The Mill, the newly-named Judy! comes to the Arts Theatre for a limited season. This biographical musical celebrates the icon that is Judy Garland, from her stage appearances as a young girl through to her performances at the Palace Theatre in New York and her lauded CBS show. Three actresses portray Garland at these pivotal moments in her life. Directed by the playwright, Ray Rackham, this poignant and uplifting story of female survival in a man’s world is combined with some of Garland’s most famous songs including ‘The Man That Got Away’, ‘The Trolley Song’ and ‘Over The Rainbow’.

Who's in it?

Helen Sheals (Last Tango In Halifax) stars as CBS Judy, with Belinda Wollaston (Mamma Mia, Titanic) as Palace Judy and Lucy Penrose as Young Judy.
