Based on Kenneth Grahame’s much loved classic tale, The Wind in the Willows comes to the London Palladium in a brilliant new musical adaptation. Book writer Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey, Half a Sixpence, School of Rock) and songwriters George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (Mary Poppins, Betty Blue Eyes) bring the beloved characters from Grahame’s book to musical life in a West End extravaganza for the whole family. Featuring gorgeous set design, boisterous choreography and a fantastically British score, the show is sure to bring anarchy, humour and heart to the world famous Palladium stage.
Rufus Hound brings his mischievous comedy to the role of the marvellous Mr Toad and is joined by Neil McDermott as Chief Weasel. Gary Wilmot takes on the role of Badger, with Denise Welch as Mrs Otter, Craig Mather as Mole and Simon Lipkin as Rat.
This riotous comedy follows the impulsive Mr Toad whose insatiable need for speed lands him in serious trouble. With his beloved home under threat from the notorious Chief Weasel and his gang of sinister Wild Wooders, Toad must attempt a daring escape leading to a series of misadventures and a heroic battle to recapture Toad Hall.
