What's the story?

Set in Germany, Hansel and Gretel live a poor, yet ordinary life. When a large famine sweeps the area, their mother decides to take them into the woods and leave them there to fend for themselves, as the parents are unable to. While in the woods, they stumble across an evil Gingerbread Witch, who attracts children by giving them an unlimited supply of cake and sweets. Lured by the witch, the children enter the witch’s house. Later planning to eat the children, the witch casts a spell to stop them moving. Inside an oven, the children have to save themselves and others from facing the same destiny.
