Seen at the National Theatre, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and a hugely successful UK Tour, the brand new play Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour is coming to the West End! Created by the National Theatre of Scotland and Live Theatre, this award-winning play has been adapted from the Alan Warner novel by Lee Hall (Billy Elliot) and features the music of ELO. A sell-out at the National Theatre, Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour won the award for Best New Comedy at the 2017 Olivier Awards.
Reprising their roles from the previous productions are Caroline Deyga, Karen Fishwick, Kirsty MacLaren, Frances Mayli McCann and Dawn Sievewright, with Isis Hainsworth joining the cast.
This uplifting story celebrates the joys of friendship and youth and disobeying the rules - growing up disgracefully! As six well-mannered, well-behaved Catholic choir girls escape into Edinburgh for a single day, a whole new world is opened up to them, filled with new life experiences and debauchery. As these young girls are on the cusp of becoming women, they learn that there is so much more to life than they had previously been led to believe. A funny, heartbreaking, sambuca-infused tale of 24 hours of charming, very un-Catholic chaos!
