Making its premiere in 2014 in New York, Sex with Strangers makes its London debut at the Hampstead Theatre starring Emilia Fox and Theo James. Directed by Peter Dubois, who directed Emilia Fox in Rapture, Blister, Burn in 2014, Laura Eason’s smart and sassy comedy is a multifaceted look at infatuation and the effects hidden ambitions, secret agendas and soaring desires can have on people and their relationships.

With an unexpected change in the weather, Olivia finds herself snowed-in overnight at a B&B. This talented, underappreciated writer has recently has had a novel published – no mean feat; but she wants more. Enter Ethan, an equally attractive and hugely successful writer – his online blog has made him an internet sensation, and is to be adapted into a movie. As the two spend an evening together, can two opposites attract? The anonymous lover of books, the ‘500k Twitter followers’ eBook lover. In this passionate tale, they both find that they want more of what the other has, but the closer they get, the closer they come to confronting the pitfalls of ambition, success and online presence.
