About Snowflake

First performed in Oxford in 2018, Snowflake makes its London debut at the Kiln Theatre this Christmas. Written by Mike Bartlett whose critical works include Doctor Foster and Charles III, follow a father and daughter whose poignant relationship is ‘rich in insight and optimism’.

WHO’S IN IT?: SNOWFLAKE CAST

The cast of Snowflake stars Elliot Levy as Andy, the father, with theatre credits including Mary Stuart at the Duke of York's Theatre and Saint Joan at the Donmar Warehouse and Ellen Robertson plays Maya. The pair reprise their performances from the Oxford production in 2018.

They are joined by Amber James as Natalie who has starred in Vassa at the Almeida Theatre and A Midsummer Night's Dream at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre.

What's the story?

‘Because Christmas. Well… That’s when they say people come home.’

Andy’s a 43 year old father, who loves nostalgic TV and drinking pints down Kilburn High Road. He hasn’t been in contact with his 21 year old daughter Maya for three years, but this Christmas, Andy thinks Maya is coming home – Maya knows she’s not. In a tale of identities and generational conflict, Snowflake asks whether audiences are living in the best or worst of times.
