Damian Lewis returns to the West End in a new production of the Tony Award-winning play The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? by Edward Albee. This dark and disturbing comedy focuses on the breakdown of a seemingly normal family. Albee’s unique wit is used to its full extent in this tragic depiction of a father’s truly bizarre extra-marital love affair and the ramifications it has for his family. Three-time Olivier Award-nominee Ian Rickson directs this exciting revival.
Damian Lewis stars as Martin with Tony Award-winner Sophie Okonedo as his wife, Stevie. Newcomer Archie Madekwe makes his West End debut as their son, Billy. Jason Hughes stars as Martin’s best friend, Ross.
A successful architect with the commission of his lifetime, a loving wife and son at home – Martin has everything going for him. But a betrayal of a dark secret to one of his best friend’s will change everything and lead to a tragic series of events. With the “Sylvia secret” out there and seemingly tearing his family apart, the controlled Martin falls apart as he watches his secure and ordered world disintegrate around him. But who is this Sylvia?
