It has been announced that the American black comedy, Heathers the Musical, will run at The Other Palace from 9th June 2018 until 4th August 2018.

Based on the cult classic 1988 film, Heathers the Musical stars actor, singer, author and YouTube sensation Carrie Hope Fletcher as Veronica. This new rock musical tells a bloody and comedic tale of bullying, teen suicide and murder.

Veronica Sawyer is one of the most popular girls at Westerburg High School in Sherwood, Ohio. A recent member of a clique that consists of three wealthy and beautiful girls with the same first name: Heather. The Heathers are feared and hated and Veronica soon has enough, wishing to return to her old life and “nerdy” friends.

When rebellious outsider Jason ‘J.D.’ Dean pulls a gun on some jocks who were trying to bully him, and fires blanks at them, Veronica finds herself obsessed with the new student. Following an altercation at a frat party, Heather Chandler vows to destroy Veronica’s reputation. Upon hearing of Heather’s threat, ‘J.D.’ tricks her into drinking drain cleaner, then encourages Veronica to forge a dramatic suicide note in Heather’s handwriting. And the murder doesn’t stop there…

Fletcher, fresh from winning the WhatsOnStage Award for ‘Best Actress in a Musical’ for her stint in The Addams Family (UK Tour), is joined by Jodie Steele (Chandler)Sophie Isaacs (McNamara) and T’Shan Williams (Duke) as The Heathers, with Jamie Muscato playing the mysterious teen rebel Jason Dean (JD), Chris Chung (Kurt Kelly), Dominic Anderson (Ram Sweeney), Jenny O’Leary (Martha Dunnstock) and Rebecca Lock (Mrs Flemming).
