Wicked, the long-running hit West End musical that tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, is conjuring up a major cast change.
From Monday 18 November, the new cast at the Apollo Victoria Theatre will be led by Savannah Stevenson (pictured) as Glinda, Jeremy Taylor as Fiyero, Sue Kelvin as Madame Morrible and Olivier Award-winner Paul Clarkson as Doctor Dillamond. They will join the show’s Elphaba, previously announced international Wicked star Willemijn Verkaik.
Sam Kelly will return to play the Wizard, a role he previously played in 2009/2010. Katie Rowley Jones as Nessarose and Sam Lupton as Boq will continue in their current starring roles. Emma Hatton will be Standby Elphaba and current ensemble cast member Sophie Linder-Lee will become Standby Glinda.
Louise Dearman as Elphaba, Gina Beck as Glinda, Ben Freeman as Fiyero, Harriet Thorpe as Madame Morrible, Keith Bartlett as The Wizard, Christopher Howell as Doctor Dillamond, Hayley Gallivan as Standby Elphaba and Lucy van Gasse as Standby Glinda will all play their final performances on Saturday 16 November.
The Olivier Award-winning London production of Wicked is the 16th longest-running West End musical of all time. It has so far been seen by over 5 million people since its premiere in 2006.
