Wicked Heads Out For A Spell On Tour

See Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.

Smash-hit musical Wicked will embark on its first tour of the UK and Ireland on 12 September 2013 at Manchester’s Palace Theatre. Further tour dates are yet to be announced.

The Olivier and Tony Award-winning musical debuted on Broadway in 2003 and then opened in London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre in 2006. The current West End production has been seen by over 2 million people.

Wicked is the story of how the Witches of Oz - Glinda The Good and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West - came to be. Taking L. Frank Baum’s Oz books as its inspiration, Wicked focuses on the unlikely friendship between the two witches in their youth.

The current West End production of Wicked stars Louise Dearman as Elphaba, who has made Wicked history by being the first actress to play both the roles of Elphaba and Glinda. Gina Beck co-stars as Glinda and Ben Freeman plays Fiyero.
