About Big The Musical

Be a kid again and have fun! Based on the 1988 movie which stars Tom Hanks, Big will receive its West End premiere at the Dominion Theatre from September 2019. Relive the iconic walking piano scene in this body-swapping musical, adapting the fantasy movie for the stage. Filled with larger than life dance routines and an even bigger heart, don’t miss your chance to catch Big at the Dominion, playing for just nine weeks.

What's the story?

12-year-old Josh Baskin wishes he was a little bit bigger. Waking up one morning, Josh looks in the mirror to find a 30-year-old man staring back at him. He definitely looks the biggest he’s ever been now!

Finding himself in an adult’s body but trapped with the mind and spirit of his 12 year old self, Josh must face up to his newly-found life, by navigating childhood and adult dramas all at once. From business meetings to playing with his favourite toys, Josh realises he wants to return to being a kid, learning that words have a greater meaning than he could have ever imagined.
