Six-time Olivier Award-winner Ian McKellen reprises the titular role in Jonathan Munby’s haunting adaptation of the Bard’s King Lear. Coming to the West End this July, Munby’s production, which opened to rave five-star reviews in Chichester last year, is scheduled to run for 100 performances. Rumoured to be McKellen’s last Shakespearian production, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the acting great perform the playwright’s most emotionally demanding role.

Dark, funny and critically-acclaimed: Martin McDonagh’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore comes to the Noël Coward Theatre in June as part of Michael Grandage’s hotly-anticipated new season. This play is a riotous, acute observation of violence in contemporary culture, and an unmissable piece of theatre. The brilliant Aidan Turner, star of ‘Poldark’, ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘Being Human’, will make his West End debut as Mad Padraic, a terrorist considered too violent to be a member of the IRA.

Also making his West End debut is Academy Award-winner Cuba Gooding Jnr as smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn in Chicago. Joining him will be Sarah Soetaert as Roxie Hart, Josefina Gabrielle as Velma Kelly and Ruthie Henshall as Mama Morton - the only British actress to have played all three leading female roles. Winner of six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards and a Grammy - the sexiest, sassiest, most sophisticated Broadway musical in history is celebrating 21 years of standing ovations in style. Experience the razzle-dazzle now, it would be criminal to miss it.

Chess is returning to the West End for its first major London revival in over 30 years. The highly-acclaimed musical stars double Olivier Award-winner, multi-platinum recording artist and presenter Michael Ball. Britain’s leading musical theatre star has performed in shows such as Les MisérablesThe Phantom of the Opera, and Aspects of Love. Joining him is ‘X Factor’ winner Alexandra Burke and Cassidy Janson who played Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
