What is Tina - The Tina Turner Musical about?

Born as Anna Mae Bullock on 26 Nov. 1939 in Nutbush, Tennessee, the recording artist shot to fame in the mid-1950s singing with Ike Turner's Kings of Rhythm. She originally went under the name "Little Ann”, but in 1960, Ike Turner gave her the moniker “Tina Turner.” The musical charts Tina's life away from the public eye too, notably how Tina split from Ike Turner in 1976 after being a victim of domestic abuse.
