About Jack and the Beanstalk

It wouldn’t be a Christmas in the West End without a pantomime at the London Palladium. Don’t miss an all-star cast bring festive joy to the capital with Jack and the Beanstalk.

The Jack and the Beanstalk London pantomime will follow the traditional fairytale. At the start, Jack sells his cow for a few magic beans, much to his mother’s chagrin. Later on, Jack plants the magic beans, expecting nothing of it. But when he discovers he’s planted a beanstalk to a giant in the sky, Jack begins an otherworldly journey. Like the preceding London Palladium pantomimes, expect plenty of laughter, silliness, and current news stories injected into the Jack and the Beanstalk play.

Many beloved London Palladium pantomime cast members will return for Jack and the Beanstalk. Julian Clary, Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers, and Gary Wilmot will all bring their trademark pantomime routines to London once more. There’s a few new additions to the London Palladium Christmas lineup though. Dawn French will star as Dame Trott in Jack and the Beanstalk, and Alexandra Burke will play Mrs. Blunderbore, the giant's wife.

Jack and the Beanstalk is the latest London pantomime in a new West End tradition. The London Palladium’s hosted a West End pantomime annually since 2016, most recently Pantoland at the Palladium in 2021. So this year, you can expect a lavish Christmas show that’s family-friendly, entertaining, and steeped in history.

Indulgent, Hilarious

See it if you enjoy crass, innuendo filled comedy performed by a stellar cast.

Don’t see it if you hate panto as a genre- though the ambitious staging here may be enough to convince you to give it a second chance
